This has been an idea running through my head for a few months, and after a few discussions with my brothers and friends, here is what I have come up with…

Player selection begins with you choosing your player character, and then a second character to act as your support, or your sponsor.

Support characters will use a special attack to help chain combos or disrupt an enemy combo. (Choosing either Offensive or Defensive when you pick them)
For example:
- Karrin Murphy will attack with her shotgun, or jump in and physically interrupt a combo with her Akido.
- Jared Kincaid will give sniper support, or drop a flashbang.
- Johnny Marcone will attack with fire support from his troops, or use suppressing fire to interrupt a combo.
- Michael Carpenter will smite with Amoraccius (Sword-Wielder Murphy will as well) or use his blade (and armor) to parry a blow.
- Morgan will attack with an earth-stomp that sends enemies airborne, or will parry the attack with an earthen barrier.
- Ramirez will attack with magical blasts or interrupt a combo with his Entropy Shield.
- The Redcap will attack with a blindingly fast physical strike, or interrupt a combo by catching the attack.
- Molly Carpenter will use a stunning burst of sound and light as a combo-break or as a direct attack.
ETC.

The Sponsor will do the same as a support character well as change your attack Aspect, at the price that they’re not otherwise playable. (Balance and all that)
-Mab (Adds Ice/Winter aspect to your attacks)
-Titania (Adds Nature/Summer aspect)
-Nicodemus (Adds Hellfire/Denarian aspect)
-Kemmler (In the form of a spectre or his book itself)(Adds Necromancy/Death Magic aspect)
-Uriel (Adds Holy/Soulfire aspect)
-The Erlking (Adds Wildfae aspect)

Harry (as well as other characters) will have multiple versions available for playability based on his stage in the story, with their own moveset (though similar) and Finisher.
Private Eye Harry - (Storm Front - Summer Knight Era) His finisher is a massive Pyro-Fuego (Similar to the one he used to burn down The Velvet Room)
Hellfire Harry - (Death Masks - White Night era) Harry uses Hellfire and his finisher is a Hellfire Laced Pyrofuego. (Unlockable special finisher is a summon of Sue)
Warden Harry - (Small Favor - Changes era) Harry uses Soulfire and his finisher is a Soulfire fueled assault.
Winter Knight Harry (Cold Days era) Harry uses Winter magic and his finisher is an Infriga followed up by a shattering Forzare.

Story Mode: Pretty obviously it’s Harry’s storyline condensed into the most important fights, with boss fights including characters who aren’t otherwise playable, in fights during which you only have to survive until the clock runs down.

Magic Vs Nonmagic: Magic Characters have a  Magic Meter that refills as they fight that fuels more magic heavy attacks and specials.

People without magic have Willpower Meters that fuel their more dramatic moves and their Specials. Sponsors will still change their attack aspects, of course, but not with as much visual affect as

DLC: packs will come as new books are released if the game is still supported with new characters, campaign missions, and outfits to fit the new book’s content. (As well as special costumes from other Jim Butcher intellectual properties.)

So what do you guys gals and otherwise think?

I haven’t gotten a good nights sleep in two straight days.

Why? You might ask.
Because Harry F*CKING Dresden and his F*CKING Files. In the last four days I’ve powered through a novel and a half. Reading until I hear birds start chirping. Usually a good bit after that.

So I blame author Jim Butcher for this. Yeah, F*CK you man! Stop writing good books, some of us are trying to sleep.
